There is an increasing requirement for helmsman, either using their own boat or wishing to charter one in international or European waters, to hold an ICC. It is currently not required in UK waters. The simplest way to gain your Powerboating ICC for vessels up to 10m, is by successfully completing an RYA Powerboat Level 2 course whereby you will be issued a unique license number stored on a database at the RYA, this together with your photo will be sent to the RYA who will issue your ICC. The RYA charges non-members a fee for this service.
